Dimensions - A short & stunning animation about Psychosis

Chattering, whispers, sometimes benign, sometimes malevolent. Disordered thought, tangential ideas, and delusions of grandeur, persecution and paranoia. This piece focuses on what it is to experience psychosis, but more importantly what it is not: it is not split personality, it can exist in otherwise 'normal' people, and it does not give rise to a culture of violent people, unable to function or be connected to the 'real' world.
Animated Minds is a collection of animated documentaries, created by Andy Glynne which uses real testimony combined with animation to make compelling short films about a range of social and psychological themes.
Seth Hunter (i.e. me! - I just like talking about myself in the third person!) has experienced psychosis several times once leading to hospitalisation. When not psychotic Seth find's himself with residual paranoia & acute anxiety - not all the time, but a lot of it. It's difficult to describe to people that haven't experienced psychosis & paranoia what it's like - this animation is the best thing I've seen that beautifully communicates the nuancing of this type of human distress.
Seth Hunter (me!) is creating his own series of stunning animations encouraging us to respond creatively to human distress. To see them be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel plus check-out Seth's websites:
